Description
Still troubled by the dew of Yunnan, the youngest leaves are the only chosen ones.
They will give their copper glow to an exceptional tea that takes us back to the origins, to nature, to the very gesture that picked them. Tirelessly, delicately, each leaf is rolled by hand. Each carries a message of dawn.
The color of a coppery pistachio green announces the delicate scents of ginger, menthol and clay. The palate, with flax tannins, surprises with its amplitude and freshness, and gives way to a sweet bitterness that complicates its finish.
Dong Tea Garden is perched 1600 meters above sea level in the blue mountains dotted with cherry trees in Wuliang. Fifty farmers harvest the tender leaves in the spring, before they are heated in a wok and then rolled by hand into a typical pointed shape before being dried for a long time in the sun and in the fresh air.
